Daniel - Pathways to A Level

Before Daniel started the pathways to A Level course he was studying an intermediate GNVQ in ICT at PRC.

Daniel said:

“ I chose PRC because it was close to where I live and I had heard of the high standards and wide variety of courses on offer. I chose the pathways course because it would provide the basic qualification needed to progress to University.

My aspirations when I started the course were to complete all coursework to a high standard, on time and having to take as little time off due to illness as possible. And yes I am pleased to say I have fulfilled this with high grades for my coursework and regular attendance with little disruption due to my illness.

Having been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, I find even a little exercise strenuous, so a full day at college is a challenge.

I have found the tutorial support very effective, with excellent support from individual and personal tutors during the year, they have helped me to manage the workload and plan work effectively.

Apart from my academic achievements I also feel I have gained a sense of personal achievement with being able to progress through the year, and a wider social support structure.

My next plan is to study 4 A Levels at PRC, then go on to University.”
